The setting
A real ventanita — my kitchen window onto the driveway, painted teal, serving cafecito, cortaditos, and café con leche with the proper sugar foam. Pastelitos on weekends until my counter runs out. Stand at the window, drink it in two sips, argue about baseball. That's the whole experience and it's perfect.
